The Last Day of School

Today was the last day of school. It was also Jigar's grandfather's funeral. He passed away earlier this week at the age of 96. He was quite the world traveler in his day. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. Perhaps he will guide us on our trip.

Leaving Tele is bittersweet. It is really sad because we learned to teach at Tele. We learned everything we know about education there. We met at Tele! We loved our co-workers, we loved our work (most of the time), and we loved the kids. We are closing a chapter in our lives that meant a lot to both us. At the same time, we are opening a new and exciting chapter that we can't wait to get started on.

There were a lot of ups and downs today, but we don't really have time to think about it. We have to move out of our apartment on Saturday so we have to pack up everything we own in the next 48 hours. That might be possible, but we also have to drive to Pennsylvania tomorrow and apply for our marriage license. Yikes! We still have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it in... Better get to work!

I can't believe school's over and we're off indefinitely.
