Yarrmon

We finally arrived in Christchurch - the end of our New Zealand journey. It was a bit sad because we loved New Zealand so much. The people are so friendly and the country is just so beautiful. We knew we would really miss it.
We started looking for a room in a hostel because we had to say goodbye to our campervan. We came across Vagabond Backpackers and decided to reserve a room there. While we were talking to Donna (one of the owners), she mentioned that if it was a nice day the next day, she would be giving her horse a bath. Jigar told her that I like horses and she offered to take us to meet her horse.

The next morning, Donna came by the backpackers' so that we could follow her out to the paddock. When we got there, Donna got together Yarrmon's food and supplements and explained them all to us. Then she took us out to the field to meet Yarrmon. She is a beauty!
First we brushed her to get all the mud off. Donna goes there everyday to brush her! Having a horse takes a lot of dedication. After that, we gave her a bath. She really likes to roll in the mud and she is all black so that mud really shows. And she had her first show coming up. After the bath, we squeegeed (how do you spell that???) because horses get annoyed by the dripping and then we brushed her tail and mane. I was brushing her mane and she turned around and rubber her head on me. I guess she really likes it!

We had a really fun time with Donna and with Yarrmon. It was a great way to spend our last day in New Zealand.
